These medical equipment and supplies are sent to hospitals affected by the Beirut port explosion. The President of the Doctors Syndicate, Sharaf Abu Sharaf, participated in a digital meeting called by the President of the International Lebanese Medical Association (ILMA) In Australia, Dr. Walid Ahmar and it also included representatives of the affected hospitals: Saint George Hospital (Dr. Imad Al-Hajj) Lebanese Hospital (Dr. Pierre Yared) Karantina Hospital (Dr. Robert Sacy) Wardieh Hospital (Dr. Mark Sassy) General Walid Raffoul of the Lebanese Army Dr. Georges Saadeh, ILMA Representative in Lebanon
Dr. Abu Sharaf thanked the association for its tireless work and the moral and material support it provides to help Lebanon face the health and economic crisis afflicting the country. He also thanked the Lebanese army, which is working to distribute this aid fairly and transparently to the affected people. He noted the tremendous work done by the hospitals, medical and nursing staff to complete the humanitarian mission and restore what was destroyed with the help of the private sector and local, Arab and international associations and institutions. Abu Sharaf provided a detailed explanation of the administrative protocol that the two Lebanese Doctors Syndicates worked on in cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross, the Hospital and Nurses Syndicates, and the Ministries of Health, Interior and Municipalities.
He hoped the association would send medical aid through the Lebanese army or the Red Cross to the health centers spread in all Lebanese districts, which work to help Corona patients at home, in order to relieve the pressure on the emergency and overcrowded hospitals.

وقدّم أبو شرف شرحا مفصلا عن البروتوكول الإداري الذي عملت عليه نقابتي الأطباء في لبنان بالتعاون مع الصليب الأحمر اللبناني ونقابتي المستشفيات والممرضات، ووزارتي الصحة والداخلية و البلديات.
🔸وتمنى على الجمعية إرسال مساعدات طبية عبر الجيش اللبناني او الصليب الاحمر، إلى المراكز الصحية المنتشرة في جميع الأقضية اللبنانية، والتي تعمل على مساعدة مرضى كورونا في المنازل، بغية تخفيف الضغط عن كاهل الطوارئ والمستشفيات المكتظة.
